Over the next few weeks, I will be working on a whole new redesign of my website.
A few weeks ago, I got an email from Squarespace telling me that my subscription was going to renew in October with a 25% increase. This is on top of the 20% increase they added last year. After reaching out to their support it was clear they didn't care and were only interested in spouting company lines and canned responses. I did some research and found multiple threads on Reddit discussing the situation. Everyone was saying the same thing: Squarespace was purchased by private equity and is now gouging their customers to make up the price. I was only with Squarespace since Google sold their domain registrar business to them, but I wasn't about to stick around for the aftermath.

Luckily, I have been running Wordpress sites for a very long time now and already had a backup host for some side projects. So now I am in the process of building a new site. With multiple events coming up over the next few months I wanted to get something up and running quickly. As you visit the site you will notice changes and additions to the content or layouts. Overall the bones are setup, I am just fleshing it out now. My goal is to get all the tweaks and fine tuning done before Halloween so I can focus on creating new art going into 2027.
I am also working on getting a couple of books published and one of them will likely go through a Kickstarter campaign. More will be announced soon about these projects but for now one of them is already at the printer.
