About Garden of the Dead

One of my favorite ways to spend a quiet day is to slowly wander through a cemetery. Reading the headstones, scrutinizing the carvings and observing the time-worn stone. I created this black & white fine art landscape series as a way to resurrect the stories, memories and sentiments of cemeteries, mausoleums and graveyards around the world. Whenever I visit a cemetery I always carry my camera when photography is allowed. Growing up with a lot of Ansel Adams work around the house, I pull a lot of my inspiration for this series from his black & white landscapes.
